Our Talks on the Terrace is emceed by the Cascade Mycological Society’s foodie Heather Sielicki and features a line up of mushroom experts and chefs who will speak on and demo how to select, prepare, and preserve your favorite fungal finds.
- 10:45 to 11:30 – Valerie Nguyen, Fungi for the People: Mushroom bao buns with medicinal mushroom chili crisp oil and reishi tea tasting.
- 12pm to 12:45 – Trent Blizzard, President of North American Mycological Association: Talk on Preserving Wild Mushrooms.
- 1:15 to 2:00 – Kristen Blizzard, Modern Forager: Pickling Perceptions – Invigorate your favorite recipes with pickled mushrooms.
- 2:30 to 3:15 – Bob Rudel, Rainforest Mushrooms: Care and Feeding of your Mushroom Kit.
- 3:45 to 4:30 – Chef David Erickson, Painting with Food: Cooking demonstration on Mushroom canapés.
