Site Internship
Mount Pisgah Arboretum is a 209-acre nature education park where visitors can explore the ecology of the southern Willamette Valley. The Arboretum’s seven miles of family-friendly trails feature dynamic, interactive learning stations that inspire further exploration, and the organization offers engaging nature education programs for all ages and interests. As a nonprofit, the Arboretum depends on support from members, donors, and volunteers to care for trails and facilities, and to provide learning opportunities for the community.
Habitats within the Arboretum include a river meadow and riparian forest along the Coast Fork of the Willamette River, Oregon white oak savanna, wet forests and a Water Garden, low elevation grassland and prairies, and Douglas-fir and incense cedar forests on the hillsides, representing many native southern Willamette Valley ecosystems.
