Arriving by Bicycle

Visitors arriving by bike do not have to pay any parking fees. (You can help save the planet and save cash at the same time!)

Bike riding is not allowed on the trails in the Arboretum, in fact, all trails in the park are closed to mountain biking. Please respect other visitors, sensitive plant life, and resident animals by leaving your bike locked up at one of our bike racks.

Bike racks are located near the parking circle at the south end of the parking lot, near the main bridge entrance to the Arboretum.

What bike routes can you use to get to Mount Pisgah?

For a short  ride, take any of the local buses to Lane Community College. It’s just a 4 mile ride from that bus stop and it’s mostly flat.

(See it on Google Maps)

Up for a longer ride? Here’s a mostly-flat 8-mile route from downtown Eugene to the Arboretum. Be alert when riding along Franklin Blvd, the cars go fast and some sections have narrow shoulder.

Like climbing hills? The ride from south Eugene over 30th Avenue has wide shoulders that are nice and usually debris-free. Put it in your lowest gear and enjoy the view!

Coming from Springfield? Lack of bridges across the river means you’ll have to come south on Franklin Boulevard to the west entrance of the park. Again, be alert amongst the fast traffic along Franklin.
