What We offer

Mount Pisgah Arboretum’s vibrant program of guided tours and workshops has been providing accessible and engaging educational opportunities for the local community for decades. Our programs are led by local experts and passionate educators. Adults and children alike will find something of interest, with topics ranging from lichen ecology, bird watching, wildflower identification, and acorn harvesting.

Our tours connect people with the natural wonders of Mount Pisgah, while our workshops offer in-depth learning experiences and opportunities to develop new skills. 7 Mindful Meandering Mindful Meandering June 7, 2026 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Mount Pisgah Arboretum “Listen closely. Can you hear the gentle whisper inviting you to slow down and rest into the beauty and quiet generosity of the natural world?" Join Julia Siporin for a 2.5-hour Awake in the Wild retreat at Mount Pisgah Arboretum. Through guided meditation, silent walking, and simple sensory awareness practices, you’ll have space to settle, listen, and reconnect with yourself and the living world around you. Julia is a certified Awake in the Wild meditation teacher through Mark Coleman. No prior meditation experience is needed. You’re welcome to bring water and a light snack. 14 June Bird Tour June Bird Tour June 14, 2026 @ 8:00 am - 11:30 am Join Mieko Aoki and Julia Siporin for another monthly bird outing intended for people with all levels of birding experience. We’ll use vocalizations, habitat, and behavior clues for identification of our breeding population and year-round residents. Come discover the Arboretum’s avian diversity.
