2025-2030 Strategic Plan

Mount Pisgah Arboretum’s 2025-2030 Strategic Plan outlines a bold and inspiring vision to deepen community engagement, advance environmental stewardship, and enhance organizational capacity. Developed with input from community members, stakeholders, and staff, the plan builds upon decades of stewardship and education efforts while addressing modern challenges and opportunities. Below are the key components of the plan:

Strategic Goals

  1. Increase operational capacity and investments in staff
  2. Deepen engagement with diverse populations
  3. Strengthen our collaboration with regional environmental stewards
  4. Provide equitable access to programs and resources
  5. Increase funding and broaden the diversity of funding sources
  6. Develop facilities that enhance the visitor experience
  7. Enhance our stewardship of the natural environment

The Strategic Plan provides an actionable framework and collective vision to guide our development over the next five years while ensuring that the Arboretum remains a vibrant and accessible park for all. Using this Strategic Plan, the Arboretum will move ambitiously forward to reach these goals, remaining adaptable and collaborative to move this plan from a vision to reality. We look forward to doing this alongside supporters like you.

Annual Reports

Each June, we release an annual report that summarizes the activities of the last year, important updates to the site, and health of the organization. Print annual reports are available at the Summer Celebration and Annual Meeting in late June and in the Arboretum office thereafter. The report is also emailed to Arboretum members following the print release.

Tree Time

Tree Time is the newsletter of Mount Pisgah Arboretum. We release three issues each year in Winter, Spring, and Fall. The Spring and Fall editions include a deep dive feature article about the upcoming Wildflower or Mushroom Festival’s featured species, these articles are frequently written by a guest expert. All editions of Tree Time include updates on Arboretum programs, upcoming events, and any important updates regarding the site and/or infrastructure. Arboretum members recieve a print or email copy, depending on their preference.  Copies are also available at the Arboretum office.
