Board Candidates:

Karen Anderson (incumbent)

Karen is our current Board President. She is an attorney who now works as a civil rights investigator for the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industry. Karen enjoys hiking and places a high value on accessible nature education.

Carl Bybee (incumbent)

Carl is an Associate Professor at the U of O School of Journalism and Communication. In addition to the Board, Carl serves on Arboretum committees for infrastructure, education, and diversity, equity & inclusion.

Dr. Lauren Herbert (new)

Lauren is a local pediatrician who serves Latinx families. She recently began prescribing Mt. Pisgah visits to her patients. Lauren is on our diversity, equity & inclusion committee and is committed to engaging folks from BIPOC communities.

Jessica Winans (new)

Jess has extensive experience as an environmental educator for all ages, and in a range of settings from the Adirondacks to Alaska. She is finishing a PhD in Education & Human Resource Studies and has joined our education committee.
